TX Driver Amp

The circuit diagram above is the prototype TX driver amplifier. Its based around a BFQ19 UHF transistor. It has ~ 13dB's gain and can deliver 200mW which is well in excess that needed to drive the RA30H0608M 30W PA. The required drive is ~ 50mW. The current into the drive amplifier is controlled by a current mirror to set the maximum output. The current mirror is not shown here. The PA module has a power control input which will be used to control the final power output from the front panel. L3 is a Coilcraft 1008CS L1/L2 are Coilcraft 7M2. The graph below shows the power and harmonic content. All harmonics are at lest -54dBc into the PA.
